Facebook recent changes and upgradation of Facebook Profiles and converting it into Facebook Timeline was a major step from Facebook to make over every single Facebook layout and structure and now Facebook has given an indication that company is looking forward to convert Facebook Brand Pages into Facebook Timeline Brand Pages starting from this month February 2012. Facebook may start testing beta timeline for Facebook Brands and Business Pages as early as the end of this month.
A website Ad Age has reported cited off-the-record conversations with “executives briefed on” Facebook’s plans which says;
«The beta test of timeline for business pages would start with a small number of businesses and gradually expand to more participants.»
«We hope to make pages more consistent with Timeline in the future, but we have nothing further to share at this time.» — Facebook Spokesman
Last year in September, Facebook introduced a dramatic transformation of Facebook Profile Pages for its more than 800 million users with the Timeline format with users’ entire history on the social network and now it’s time for brand pages to convert into Timeline. Timeline has significant implications for Facebook fan-page management. One top consideration is that a brand’s Facebook presence no longer must date to when it joined the site but can be represented with content populating its Facebook Timeline from throughout its history. (Coca-Cola, for example, could hypothetically add an event for 1892, the year it was founded.)
Facebook will revealed more detail about the new Timeline Facebook Pages at its first-ever Facebook Marketing Conference (fMC) in New York on February 29, 2012. The last upgrade of business pages on Facebook took place last year in February, 2011; roughly two months after profiles had first made similar changes.
